Obituary for Jokisha "Dynasty" Brown

Jokisha "Dynasty" Brown
Jokisha “Dynasty” Brown was born on July 2, 1980 in Jacksonville, Florida at University Hospital, today known as Shands Medical. She is the oldest daughter of Cynthia Jones and the late Joe Brown. Jokisha graduated from Jean Ribault Senior High School. After graduating she worked several jobs on the Southside area of Jacksonville, which eventually gained her notoriety and popularity throughout the city and many other parts of Florida. As a model and actress, Jokisha flourished and found early success and became known as “Dynasty” to most people in her inner circle. As the years went by, Jokisha continued to grow and eventually outgrew Jacksonville and it’s parameters, so in 2010, she decided to further her career and expand her brand by moving to Atlanta. As resident of Georgia Jokisha became a certified Licensed Real Estate Agent at Keller Williams Realty, while still continuing her music, acting, and modeling career before her untimely demise.

As the oldest of nine children, Jokisha at a very young age displayed parenting like skills with her siblings, Kenyatta Brown, Jermaine Brown, Marlon Brown, Marlon Brice, Michael Brice, Felicia Brice, Kiearra Brice, Ketara Jones, and Tavaris Jones; Jokisha assisted them on many occasions or outright Groomed, cleaned, tutored, and watched them on a daily basis. She spent the first 15 years of her life dedicated to protecting and ensuring their well being. Three years later Jokisha eventually became a mother of her own. On September 17, 1998 she gave birth to her only child, Jack Collier (Noodles). Anyone that was familiar with Kisha knew Jack meant more to her than any person or possession. Life was only getting better for Jokisha, until late 2000, when tragedy struck and our oldest brother Kenyatta passed away. Jokisha and Kain shared a very close bond due to the fact that they were only 11 months apart in age. The tragedy did have one silver lining, it brought all the family closer.

Jokisha was undoubtedly the most free hearted, great spirited, giving person one could ever meet in life. She gave far more than she received and did so without expectations. She once stated “Seeing people smile, making them happy is the best satisfaction one can get”. She fully lived 100% by those words and often times helped family, friends, and occasionally strangers. Jokisha was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She loved to laugh, loved to bring laughter to others, and with her infectious smile, instantly lit up rooms and made people feel comfortable. Her physical presence will be missed, but she will never be forgotten.

Jokisha departed this life on Friday, July 1, 2016. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Brown; grandparents, Charlie Brice and Mozelle Brice; brothers, Kenyatta “Kain” Brown, Marlon Brown, Tavaris “Deon” Jones, and Marlon “Blacky” Brice.

Jokisha leaves to mourn her passing a loving son, Jack “Noodles” Collier, IV; mother, Cynthia Jones (Matthew); brothers, Jermaine “Gook” Brown (Kieara) and Michael “Bucket” Brice; sisters, Felicia “Whootney” Brice, Kiearra “Bird” Brice, and Ketara Jones; neices, Maleyah Brice, Jaszlyn Brown, and Bella Jones; nephews, Jerkai Brown, Jordan Brice, Rocky Brice, and Marlon Brown; uncles, Bruce Brice, Randolph Brice, and Terry Brice; aunt, Linda Brice; and a host of other relatives, colleagues, co-workers, and friends.
