Obituary for Johnnie B. "Beaver" Robinson Sr.

Johnnie B. "Beaver"  Robinson Sr.
Johnnie B.  Robinson, Sr. was born on December 26, 1950 to the late Willie lee Robinson and Willie Mae White Robinson in Wrightsville Georgia and he was the eighth child of their eleven children. Johnnie attended the Public Schools in Johnson and Washington County Georgia. Johnnie moved to Jacksonville Florida with his family in 1966 and joined the Job Corps as a young adult and became a light weight boxer at Job Corps. He was station in Portland Oregon and when he returned to Jacksonville he worked with Reed Construction Company until he retired. Johnnie later united in holy matrimony to Shirley Johnson Robinson on October 15, 2011.

Johnnie was known as “Beaver” and was loved and respected by many. When he cooked everyone was able to eat, Johnnie would feed anybody. He was also a true entertainer, he loved to sing and dance.

Johnnie was called home to glory on Monday, September 5, 2016. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Arlene Robinson and Allene Williams; two brothers, Freddie Robinson and Willie Robinson;

Johnnie is survived by a very loving family, a son, Johnny Mcarthur; daughter, Stephanie Mcarthur Foster; stepson, Raymond Mcarthur; grandchildren, Johnny Mcarthur II, Johnny Mcarthur III, Raizhean Mcarthur, Mia Golpin, Selina Golphin, Paul Foster, and Nywanna Foster; 4 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Frank Robinson (Edith), James Robinson (Linda), Gene Robinson (Bernita), and Danny Robinson; two sisters, Rosa Speat Robinson and Elgin Robinson; step brothers & sister, Joe Lee Perry, Lamont Perry, Arnita Curry, and Cartrina; a devoted niece, Cathy Studimire (Charles); a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and two best friends, Richard Rouse and Robert Gentil.
