Obituary for Carolyn Mackaline Joiner
Carolyn M. Joiner, affectionately known as “Mackaline” was born on August 2, 1943 to the Late Bishop Mack Larkins, Sr. and Evangelist Carrie Bell Larkins. Mackaline attended the Public Schools of Duval County, College Park, James Weldon Johnson and New Stanton.
Mackaline moved her membership from West Union Baptist Church to The House of Refuge Holy Church of the Living God, Inc.
Mackaline departed this life to be with the Lord on Friday, November 17, 2017. She was preceded in death by her father, Bishop Mack Larkins; sisters, Barbara Lowe and Loretta “Laura” Sims.
Mackaline leaves to cherish loving memories with her husband, James A. Joiner; mother, Carrie Bell Larkins; brothers, Moses Larkins (Colette) – Atlanta, Ga, Mack Larkins, Jr. (Valerie “Cookie”), Lucious Von Larkins– Atlanta, Ga; sisters, Brenda Larkins and Beverly Larkins Coffey; godchildren, Melody Johnson Vickers, Brandy Johnson and Janae Sims; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Among some of her best friends were: Loretta Perry, Lois Reed, Lorraine Grier, Beverly Carson, Leola Lee Scurry and Greg Wilson.
The funeral service for Carolyn Mackaline Joiner will be held 11:00 am FRIDAY, November 24th, 2017 at the Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main St. The visitation will be 5 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, at the mortuary. Interment in Jacksonville National Cemetery. Please sign the family guest book and view the video tribute @ www.tswarden.com.
